So in the last month we've played the Spring & Airbrake for our second time and the HWCH festival in
Dublin which was a lovely honour to be asked to play at. We also ended up playing a lovely gig in the
Rosetta in Belfast, which was where The Kev played his first ever gig.....awwww. Just a quick note to say
that "Angleine" is offically released today and is available from all the usual online places. You can also
buy a hard copy from our myspace (FANCY DAN). In another note, some sources say, that a temp member
of the John Shelly and the Creatures family is after getting himself engaged so we'd just like to say
congrats to Ian and sorry to Sarah (although technically it is your own fault for saying yes). JSC will be
opening this years RADAR in Queens so get your fine ass down and be prepared to party!

Thanks to all the lovely people that made it down to the Hub, Lavery's and the Black Box. Unfortunately
The Stendhal Festival has been cancelled due to lack of sales, so we'll all have to wait until next year for
that one. In other news, JSC have been selected to play the Hard Working Class Heroes Festival in Temple
Bar in Dublin this year. Keep checking the tours page for gigs near you!
23 July 08
Just to let all you JSC gig goers know, the Hub gig in Dublin has been altered slightly. Due to a double
booking, JSC will no longer be headlining the night, although they are still on the bill. Unfortunately
both Cutaways and Idle Generator shall not be playing at this gig, although we do promise to play a
gig soon with both bands in Dublin and hopefully Belfast. The reason behind the mix up was a genuine
misunderstanding and we apologise to anybody that was coming down to see the night we had planned.
JSC shall now be a support act to Hoarse Box and have a stage time of 9pm so make sure you get there
early.

We just arrived home from Donegal this morning after supporting Dave Geraghty in Letterkenny.
Big shout out to the folks at An Grianan, who were very good to us and all round nice guys and gals.
The gig started a wee bit ropey with Walter nearly dropping a guitar half way through the first song
but the lads pulled it together. Other acts on the night included the amazing voice of Carly Sings and
of course the headline act Dave Geraghty. Thanks to everyone that came down. Walter says he's never
been listened to so intently before and, as a result, is quite scared about talking to future audiences.
I'm pleased to announce at this juncture that all the members of JSC graduated last week from college
so you're listening to a band of academics. Congrats lads.
Also, if you've been listening to BBC at all you'll have heard the new single being played on both ATL
and the Rory McConnell show. Lets all start pestering them to play it some more. Phil and Walter will
also be on next mondays ATL podcast talking nonsense. Right, that's all for the moment back soon!
13 June 08
Due to unforseen family circumstances, we've had to pull out of the Mullingar gig today. Apologies to
those who had planned to come down and to Mockie the organizer. We do, however, plan to get down to
Mullingar soon and make up for the lack of JSC.
In other news, those of you residing in Belfast may keep an eye on all the local papers because there's a
good chance you'll see some pics of the lads charging (don't ask) down the camera lens beside the Waterfront.
The 12th of June saw the lads play a short acoustic set in the Waterfront as part of the launch of the Belfast
Trans 08 festival. The lads will also be playing their part in the festival down in the Black Box on the
3rd of August at the Indie Take-Away, live bands and a Cd of the songs you like, what more could you ask for?
Also just as another side and JSC unrelated note, the One Man Star Wars show will be part of the festival this
year, go see it!!!! I'm excited already.....such a nerd.

OH YEAH, THE NEW SINGLE, "ANGELINE", WILL BE RELEASED ON THE
22nd OF JULY and it's already up on our Myspace page if you wish to check it out.
Much Love,
jsc.

27 May 08
Well it's been a while since we've updated the site and we apologise. We've been busy finishing college
and the new single. Yes that's right, new single, Angeline, which will be coming out in July. We figured
we may as well start playing the game. We've a load of new shows coming up and thanks to everyone who
came to support us through the last few months. We love you all very much. A few changes may be
happening to the site soon so stay tuned and we'll see you at a venue in the near future!

Thanks to everyone that came down to see us and to the people who were just there and voted for us

day but it was run really well and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Take it easy Dublin, we'll be back!

John Shelly and the Creatures are live on UTV Radio 105FM tomorrow night,
yes Thursday the 23 of August. Click here to listen online and be in with a
chance to win tickets to the next gig on the 7th of September in St.Kevins
of Queen Street Belfast. The gig is run by a group called fresh fusion.
The purpose of Fresh Fusion is to promote and fuse relations between members
of different and seperate religious and ethnic communities in society through
the medium of music. Although John Shelly and the Creatures are in no way
religious..in fact, im pretty sure we are all going to hell, we think this is a
great event to be happening. See you there!
16 August 07

Quick shout out to all that were at the Enrights gig on Tuesday night.
It was a great night for everyone involved. The lads decided to have
a bit of fun and for the first number played "Why do you" in the style
of Johnny Cash. The night was in aid of AWARE and was a huge success.
The line up included Calypso Train, Dave McCardle & Brendan McGarry,
John Shelly and the Creatures, Gavin Glass, Las Vegas Basement and the
ever excellent Mundy.
9 August 07
Just to let all you kids know, the pictures page is now up and running. Although more
improvements shall be coming so stay tuned!
8 August 07
Another gig to announce, yes I know it's short notice but that's how we here at JSC
roll sometimes. I suppose you could say we're like ninjas. Anyway the next gig is
also in Birr. This time in Enrights playing support to Mundy and others. This gig
is in aid of AWARE which is a well worthy cause. I'll see you there!
The links page is now up and running. Only a few names at the moment but more to come!
5 August 07
Well it was a bit of a wash out but a huge success all the same. We all got a bit
wet but needless to say that was part of the fun. JSC's first gig went down a storm.
The lads and Lass enjoyed themselves and we like to think the audience did
too. Big shout out to Morf? and the rest of the Chapters.
